A luxurious and glossy silk fabric, ideal for an elegant couture gown. This is the 'Rolls Royce' of satins and is sometimes referred to as 'Princess Satin'. Duchess satin has a firmer handle and is perfect for a garment with a bias cut or simple bodice, underpinned with flattering boning and falling into a softly gathered and pleated mini or midi skirt with pockets.
