London Fashion Week Summary

Here in the homeland, the Brits have done us proud. The expected colour from Mary Katrantzou and Peter Pilotto have exceeded the expectation and blown us away. Burberry continued to promote Britain, Tom Ford gave us a sexy outlook on the future and Emma Hill said a cheerful goodbye to Mulberry. London has seen a common trend of feathers and that modern lace we saw in Autumn, throughout. There has also been a development and continuation of the beautiful ways to use organza. Here are our favourite looks from London Fashion week and how to re-create the look.

After starting this collection with some brogue-shoe prints, Katrantzou then gave us a floral to lust over. Create this look by starting with some sweet, sweet florals. Then apply a ribbon after folding it in a fower-like shape, with a hand stitch in the middle. Afterwards, feel free to bedazzle the flower if needed.

With a haunting setting and a palette of witch-black, red and white, and an array of dead roses, it is evident that Meadham and Kirchoff thoroughly enjooyed designing this story-telling collection. Get the look with these country-cottage florals.

Maybe Christopher Bailey read our post on the latest technology in Lace (Read it here) but told us a story that started with British tradition with lace from Nottingham, then he evolved it to the modern lace that is available today. Mix that with the candy colours we love and you have yourself the look of one of Britain's finest.

Erdem is one that is always looked forward to. Clean, crisp clothing with what is usually a signature look, this season Erdem gave us a clean slate. A black and white one that Model turned stylist, Alexa Chung saw as an opportunity to dress like a bride and a widow at the same time.

As Emma Hill said goodbye, she left us with a fun and cheery, cheerio. We love the use of texture in her Brocades and as a canine-loving company ourselves, she gets extra brownie points for Matching our pets to the collection.

Peter Pilotto has developed and only encouraged us to continue this trendful use of organza. Lets add some ceramic-like florals to it and give it some layers.

Tom ford gave us an array of futuristic, disco-ball fabrics with sexy silhouettes But what we admired the most is his economical way of leading fur into the spring. With all this climate change, who knows how long this winter's coat may be used.
