Polka dots have always been a whimsical, fun, flirty print that continuously appears and disappears in our wardrobe. All the best females have been seen dotting-up at some point of their paparazzi's career. Marilyn did it and Kate did it, but more importantly the catwalks are currently doing it.

We loved Kate Spade's presentation for AW13. In a set dressed with Yellow Taxi's and Neon lights, the models looked like they had stepped out of the Sex and the City prologue- The Carrie Diaries.
However, Miu Miu was the polka-dot fan's favourite amongst the Fall shows. Muiccia Prada brought out her dotted troops in full force.
We also love the campaign, featuring Daphne Groeneveld.
Miu Miu taught us how to clash our spots with our stripes. They also reminded us that if you're not too fond of wearing polka dots but want to take on the trend, don't neglect your accessories -make a scarf or a bag.

Thinking back to last year, I suspect the return of the polka dots has something to do with the collaboration of Yayoi Kusama and Louis Vuitton for the spotted collection. When Marc Jacobs met the 83 year old Japanese artist and writer he was inspired by her creative energy and they finally worked together for this collection that was launched in July last year.
